Paul And Silas

(Read Acts 16)

Paul and Silas were telling people that Jesus is God’s Son. They were helping people to learn about Jesus. Some men did not like that. They hated Jesus and Jesus’ friends too. They shouted, “Put those men in jail! They are doing things that are bad!”

Paul and Silas were put into jail. Night came and Paul and Silas began to sing songs. The songs were about God. The door of the jail broke. The man who was at the jail got afraid. He was afraid that if Paul and Silas got away someone would hurt him. The man tried to kill himself.

Paul told the man to stop because they were still there. The man knew that God took care of Paul and Silas. He said, “I want Jesus to forgive me. I want to love Him and follow Him. What do I have to do?”

Paul told the man to ask Jesus to forgive him. The man did and prayed to Jesus. The man’s family became Jesus’ friends too and they were all happy.
